Birdie Blaugrund is a painter whose work moves between figuration, drawing, and installation. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2026 and is based in New York.

Her paintings draw on a long history of figuration — from Neolithic figures and ancient Egypt through Lucas Cranach, Picasso, and cartooning.

Her degree project, Implicate Order, circles questions of making, the female body, vulnerability, and the inner life of artistic practice.
